Capralogics offers a variety of laboratory support services for:
ELISA
Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA) detects the presence of an antibody or an antigen in samples such as sera. This assay is valuable for seeing whether an antibody response against the antigen has occurred or is increasing or decreasing over time related to immunizations. With multiple antigens, either simultaneously or over a long time span, ELISA data for the host species is very helpful. Test serum is run alongside with pre-immune or baseline serum by skilled and experienced laboratory professionals. ELISA results at Capralogics are communicated quickly enabling decisions on a needed change in antigen(s) and/or a specific host selection choice.
Antibody Purification
Capralogics offers several methods of purification for you to choose from as a finish step to your antibody project. We would be happy to work with you to determine the best approach for your specific needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding affinity purification. Inquire for bulk purification prices.
Antigen Affinity Purification:
Lyophilized peptide in the range of 15 to 25 mg is preferred for column construction for the purification of 50 ml antisera. The yield of peptide specific antibody is based on quality of immune response and can range from 5 to 10 % of total immunoglobulin. Generally, a minimum of 10 mg of antibody can be obtained.
About 6 to 10 mg of protein is needed to couple to the affinity matrix column for purification of 30 ml antisera. The protein should not contain Tris or glycine buffers. The yield of protein specific antibody is based on quality of immune response and can range from 5 to 10 % of total immunoglobulin. Generally, a minimum of 10 mg of antibody can be obtained.
Protein A/G Purification:
Purification of up to 30 ml antiserum by Protein A/G Affinity Chromatography. Most serum yields between 10 to 20 IgG per ml.
